Hickory grove campground is now under new ownership and management. Hickory Grove Campground is owned and operated by Hickory Grove Recreation Area LLC. Its new manager is John Kowalski. John is a great guy and has a long history at Hickory Grove .He has extensive knowledge of the Hennipin Canal and its history. He also knows where all the best fishing spots are. John helps maintain a large high rise building in Spring Valley and is knowledgable on many aspects of property maintence. His campsite is a showplace.
With the new camping season nearly upon us, we hope to welcome back many previous campground residents and hope to add a few more. We are hoping to make improvements to the campground including constructing a storage building with several storage spaces for rent to campers. We have also planted hundreds of trees and hope to continue improving the landscaping. The main house is also undergoing remodeling. We also plan on improving the showers / bathrooms . We welcome suggestions from residents as to how we can make further improvements and still keep costs and fees down.
Located along the banks of the Hennepin Canal is one of the finest camping areas around. You can enjoy a variety of activities such as the picturesque scenery along the Hennepin Canal Trail as well as the fantastic fishing. For more information feel free to email us at hirizfxr@yahoo.com
